Keith the Uber gamer

Eric & I went over to my buddy Mauros house to have some lunch and get some help working on our team rugby site. Our friend Keith was also there and so was his wife. We all sat down to a delicious meal prepared by Mizue & Kawarie, Mauro and Keiths wifes respectively. After Mauro and I fixed the site we all sat down to play some games on the PS2.
At one point a impromptu to tournament broke out of Medle of Honor Heros. Kieth and Muaro battled each winning a game and then I got in there against Keith and got SLAUGHTERED. It wasn't even a good game. It was more like a turkey shoot and I was the turkey.
Eric was getting restless and really wanted to play so I let him. Medal of Honor is not the kinda game I recommend letting your 5 y.o. play, but he had played a few minutes of it on my psp and had the general idea. "Shoot da guys" Eric and Kieth started to play and Eric concentrated on the game. His face was pinched in determination as he struggled to understand what was going on but every time just as he was starting to get the hang of things. BLAM there was Kieth the uber gamer there to put a double tap in the back of his head, or throw a grenade or whatever.
NO MERCY was Keith's battle cry and he certainly showcased his AMAZING skill and talent on Eric beating him with a mind numbing 30+ shots to 1. (Thanks Mauro for helping him win that 1.)
Later on the train ride home Eric was very quite.
I asked him "Whats wrong buddy?"
"Dada Kieth is really strong." I thought about it and Kieth is a black belt in Judo and a pretty tough guy. "Ya he is he is a black belt in Judo."
Fireworks YEAH!

Fireworks are fun but allot of work.
Eric and I went to fireworks with some of the people from my Japanese school. It was good for me but it was better for Eric. He had a blast. To start out it was on the other side of Tokyo so first step was a 50 minute train ride across Tokyo.
That wasn't so bad. Some one said it said it was a 25 minute walk to where the fireworks were. I thought no way. There is no place in Tokyo that is 25 minutes from a station. I was right it was not 25 minutes IT WAS 35. It was another hot day so even as I walked along a while sipping on a beer the heat was stifling.
We finally got to the place to watch fireworks and there were a few people there.
Eric found a spot to watch the fireworks but I shagged him down after I realized what he was up to.
Finally the fireworks started and then Eric went crazy. HE was dancing around and screaming. Little did he realize that the fire works would last 90 minutes. After about 30 minutes he settled down and watched the fireworks.
I wanna be like Sooty!

I was scanning the headlines on Digg or Reddit or someplace like that when sandwiched between Gonzales lies, Bush's desire to wage war on Iran and Cheney's dirty tricks there was one little ray of sunshine.
I read this BBC article about Sooty. A male guinea pig who made his way into the female guinea pigs pen and sired 42 children.
From the original article:
"He was absolutely shattered - we put him back in his cage and he slept for two days."
Read about Sootys full tail of debauchery here.
Old-School

Some times some of my buddies from TLUG give me a little grief or disbelive me when I tell them how old some of the servers I work on are. While checking out a disc error and looking for a FEW files I could get rid of to make some space I came across these gems.
You dont always have to love it, you just have to do it.
